Video Tutorials
The Austin Public Library in partnership with MindBites also offers video tutorials that you can access from the internet for free: - Microsoft Office Word 2007 Basics: In this video you will learn the following: how to open up Word, the new quick access points, open up a document, cut/copy/paste, font and paragraph formatting, find and replace, spell and grammar check, using a thesaurus, printing, saving, and closing Word.
- Microsoft Office Excel 2007 Basics: This course is meant to familiarize participants with some of the basic functions and capabilities of Microsoft Office Excel 2007. Upon completion, participants will be able to construct a simple spreadsheet and manipulate its contents.
Online Tutorials
- Microsoft's Beginner's Training for Office 2007: Offers free training courses, demos, and interactive guides for all Office 2007 programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access)
- HP Learning Center: Offers short video tutorials as well as in-depth courses. You will need to create a free account for the longer courses. Classes are self paced and include a message board for communicating with the instructor and other students. Some lessons have quizzes or assignments for additional practice.
- Goodwill Community Foundation International: Provides self-paced lessons as well as instructor-led classes. Create a free account to register for the online classes.
