Meet the Author, John C. Kerr at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28 for a discussion of his novel Cardigan Bay at the Faulk Central Library, 800 Guadalupe St. in the 2nd floor events area. The historical novel tells of love, loss, and espionage in Cardigan Bay, Ireland during World War II. A book signing will follow the discussion. Light refreshments will be provided. The event is free and open to the public. For more information please call 512-974-7452 or visit www.cityofaustin.org/library.
In Cardigan Bay, a new novel from San Antonio's Corona Publishing, Kerr makes bold to weave a Second World War tale with a new perspective. By including Ireland in the war picture, he creates a compelling tapestry of intrigue and romance out of complex political threads often overlooked by other novelists. The result is a satisfying, comprehensively researched novel that tells the story of the greatest invasion of all time through the eyes of three principal characters who each have a pivotal role to play in its ultimate — but by no means predictable — success.” -- Ed Conroy, San Antonio Express News
