Keep it Weird this October with Zombie Fest
@ University Hills Branch
Keep it weird this October with Zombie Fest at the University Hills Branch of the Austin Public Library, 4721 Loyola Lane. The month long Zombie Fest includes screenings of Shaun of the Dead, Resident Evil and Fido. There will be a Zombie Fest Book Club meeting to discuss World War Z: The Oral History of the Zombie Wars by Max Brooks. The Zombie Fest Celebration Finale offers Zombie Survival Games -- including role playing and Jeopardy, a Zombie Costume and Imitation Contest, a Zombie Art Show (entries due October 18), zombie refreshments, prizes, and more. The festival is brought to you in part by L.A.Z.A.R.U.S. -- Libraries Against Zombie Affected Residents of the United States. L.A.Z.A.R.U.S. would like to urgently remind all library customers, “Don’t be carefree and foolish with your most precious asset – life!”
Zombie Fest is free and open to the public. For more information please call 512-929-0551 or visit www.cityofaustin.org/library or the Myspace Zombie Fest page.
