The 2008 Adult Summer Reading Program Kicks Off June 9th

If you're planning on heading to Barton Springs or any of our Austin pools and parks this summer, bring a book to read! Help us promote the love of reading by joining the 2008 Adult Summer Reading Program. The Austin Public Library’s second annual Adult Summer Reading Program takes place June 9 - August 31. Last year’s program was a smashing success with almost 500 participants at all library locations.
Here’s how it works:
- Between June 9 and August 31 stop by any Austin Public Library and select any fiction or non-fiction books to read (or listen to). For a list of suggested reads visit our “Good Reads” web page at www.cityofaustin.org/library/readroom_index.htm or check out any of our 13 book clubs.
- For every three books read between June 9 and August 31 fill out an entry form and return the form to the Library staff to be entered into a drawing.
- Drawing for gift certificates and prizes will take place after the close of the program on August 31 at each library location (need not be present).
