Spicewood Springs Branch of the Austin Public Library to Begin Expansion Project
Branch Library closing on Monday, November 14, 2005
Spicewood Springs Branch, 8637 Spicewood Springs Road (located in northwest Austin), will begin its expansion project on Monday, November 14, 2005. To meet the growing demands for service at this busy branch, the library will be closed to allow the building’s structure to be expanded from its present size of 7,876 square feet to a more appropriate size of 13,025 square feet.
To mark the occasion, the branch will host an “Expansion Celebration” on Saturday, November 12, 2005 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Please join us for refreshments and preview our exciting expansion plans.
The tentative re-open date is Saturday, September 30, 2006. For interim library service please visit the Milwood Branch, 12500 Amherst Drive or the North Village Branch, 2139 W. Anderson Lane. The book drop will be unavailable during this time. Please return materials to any other Austin Public Library location.
