Acclaimed Author and Illustrator, Arthur Howard visits the Austin Public Library

Acclaimed author and illustrator, Arthur Howard will present a free program for teachers, librarians, aspiring authors and illustrators. The program will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the Old Quarry Branch of the Austin Public Library, 7051 Village Center Drive. The program will include a book signing, presentation and opportunity to ask questions of the author. Proceeds from the book sale benefit the Friends of the Austin Public Library.

About the artist

Author of Mr. Putter & Tabby Pour the Tea, The Bubba and Beau Series, When I was Five and Hoodwinked, Arthur Howard has been an artist all his life, influenced by his mother at a very young age. He first became an actor on a children’s televisions series called Square One, but after 7 years on the show, he decided to go back to his first love, drawing pictures.
