Earth Day Celebration with Singer/Songwriter Purly Gates

In celebration of Earth Day the Austin Public Library will feature the environmental singer/songwriter Purly Gates with four musical performances at four libraries across the City. Purly enchants audiences of all ages, engaging listeners with relevant, appropriate material covering subjects from peace to the environment. She was a finalist in the prestigious Kerrville (Texas) "New Folk" songwriting competition and has three recordings. This uniquely energetic and creative singer accompanies herself with guitar, banjo, harmonica, and home-made instruments. She resides in New Hampshire and performs all around the Country from Austin to Boston.

Musician Purly Gates will share environmental songs and kids will participate in earth friendly activities at the following locations:

These events are free and the public is invited to attend.
