Mayor’s Book Club Releases Schedule of
Programs and Special Events
Programs start on March 28, 2007
During the months of February and March, Mayor Will Wynn and the Austin Public invited all of Austin to read this year’s selected book, Around the Bloc by Stephanie Elizondo Griest. The Mayor’s Book Club is designed to bring readers from throughout our community together to create a citywide book club. The University of Texas Humanities Institute will unite with the Austin Public Library and the Mayor’s office, for the sixth consecutive year, to assist with the discussion groups and special events about the book, beginning March 28th through April 19th. Please join us for one or all of the special programs planned. All programs are free and open to the public.
