Managing Pets

Behavior problems are the number one reason that pets are surrendered to animal shelters or not reclaimed from animal shelters. But many behavior problems can be corrected or managed with a little information and effort!

Before deciding that you have to give up your pet, please take a look at our Behavior Tip Sheets to see if there might be something more you can try that will allow you to keep your pet in your home where he or she will feel safest and happiest. Additional Pet Behavior Information can be found at http://www.hsus.org/pets/
