Put a Finger On It!

Spreading the important message about fire and life safety to the Austin community falls into the hands of AFD’s Public Education Office. The "PubEd" Office develops and implements programs that teach children and adults about safety and emergency prevention. The staff schedules special appearances by AFD personnel and vehicles, as well as fire station tours, smoke alarm installations and other services. Public Education can be reached at (512) 974-0290.

More fire safety information can be found at the AFD Fire Code FAQs page.
