November 2008 Passenger & Air Cargo traffic at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

ACTIVITY OVERVIEW

November 2008

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for November 2008 was 682,217 down 9% compared to November 2007. November 2008 enplanements totaled 347,206, down 9.5%.
Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 247,430, down less than 0.00% (20 less passengers) compared to November 2007;
American Airlines (including Trans States) passengers totaled 158,465, down 22.5%;
Continental Airlines passengers totaled 79,199, down 15%;
Delta Air Lines (including SkyWest Airlines, Shuttle America, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, and Pinnacle) passengers totaled 52,147, down 16%;
U.S. Airways(including Mesa) passengers totaled 33,800, up 47%;
JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 32,690, up 70%;
Northwest Airlines (including Pinnacle Airlines) passengers totaled 22,975, up 8%;
United Airlines (including SkyWest and Mesa) passengers totaled 19,146, down 41.5%;
Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 16,631, down 20%;
vivaAerobus passengers totaled 4,985;
Air Canada passengers totaled 2,076.

November 2008 air cargo totaled 14,227,706 lbs., down 23% compared to November 2007. International air cargo totaled 295,081 down 41%. Federal Express carried 7.8 million lbs., down 10%; ABX Air, Inc. carried 1.7 million lbs., down 47%; and United Parcel Service carried 2.1 million lbs., down 33%.

Air Services transferred 558,206 lbs of mail, up 21%; and 1.4 million lbs. of belly freight, down 16%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 5,162 down 24.5%. Combined operations (including Commercial and military) totaled 14,853, down 21.5%.

January through November 2008 Year-to-Date

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January - November YTD was 8,325,717, up 2% compared to January - November 2007. January - November 2008 enplanements totaled 4,251,154, up 2%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 2,951,896, up 7%; American Airlines (including Trans States) passengers totaled 2,062,306, down 7%; Continental Airlines passengers totaled 889,911, down 7%; Delta Air Lines (including SkyWest Airlines, Shuttle America, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, and Pinnacle) passengers 641,576, down 14%; United Airlines(including SkyWest, and Mesa) passengers totaled 399,330, up 1%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 326,694, up 49%; U.S. Airways (including Mesa) passengers totaled 319,206, up 24%; Northwest Airlines (including Pinnacle Airlines) passengers totaled 249,495, up 8%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 209,059, up 3.5%; vivaAerobus passengers totaled 57,362; Air Canada passengers totaled 16,332.

November YTD (January - November 2008) air cargo totaled 187,621,015 lbs., down 3%. International air cargo totaled 4,052,447 lbs., down 11%. Federal Express carried 93.1 million lbs., down 4%; ABX Air, Inc. carried 32.8 million lbs., up 0.5%; and United Parcel Service carried 28.9 million lbs., down 4.5%.

Air Services transferred 6.2 million lbs of mail, up 48%; and 19.2 million lbs. of belly freight, down 9.5%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 67,344 for January - November YTD, down 2.5%. Combined operations (including Commercial and military) totaled 194,571, down 1%.
