Passenger record, 9 million travelers milestone passed in 2008 at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

ACTIVITY OVERVIEW

December 2008

Passenger Activity: Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for December 2008 was 713,358 down 1%
compared to December 2007. December 2008 enplanements totaled 368,476, down 2%.
Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 262,530, up 7.5%;
American Airlines (including Trans States) passengers totaled 170,921, down 12.5%;
Continental Airlines passengers totaled 82,928, down 5%;
Delta Air Lines (including SkyWest Airlines, Shuttle America, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, and Pinnacle) passengers totaled 50,911, down 14%;
U.S. Airways(including Mesa) passengers totaled 36,019, up 63%;
JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 35,284, up 84%;
Northwest Airlines (including Pinnacle Airlines) passengers totaled 23,164, up 15%;
United Airlines (including SkyWest and Mesa) passengers totaled 18,869, down 38%;
Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 16,597, down 4%;
vivaAerobus passengers totaled 5,492;
Air Canada passengers totaled 1,941.

December 2008 air cargo totaled 14,260,414 lbs., down 16% compared to December 2007. International air cargo totaled 294,750 down 25%. Federal Express 8.6 million lbs., up 8.5%;ABX Air, Inc. 1.1 million lbs., down 66%; and United Parcel Service carried 2.1 million lbs., down 11.5%.

Air Services transferred 387,545 lbs of mail, up 57%; and 1.4 million lbs. of belly freight, down 22%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 4,090 down 30%.
Combined operations (including Commercial and military) totaled 13,992, down 20%.

January through December 2008 Year-to-Date

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – December YTD was a record 9,039,075, up 2% compared to January – December 2007. January – December 2008 enplanements totaled 4,619,630, up 1.5%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 3,214,426, up 7%; American Airlines (including Trans States) passengers totaled 2,233,227, down 7%; Continental Airlines passengers totaled 972,839, down 7%; Delta Air Lines (including SkyWest Airlines, Shuttle America, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, and Pinnacle) passengers 692,487, down 14%; United Airlines (including SkyWest, and Mesa) passengers totaled 418,199, down 1.5%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 361,978, up 51.5%; U.S. Airways (including Mesa) passengers totaled 355,225, up 27%; Northwest Airlines (including Pinnacle Airlines) passengers totaled 272,659, up 8.5%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 225,656, up 3%; vivaAerobus passengers totaled 62,854; Air Canada passengers totaled 18,273.

December YTD (January – December 2008) air cargo totaled 201,881,429 lbs., down 4%. International air cargo totaled 4,347,197 lbs., down 12%. Federal Express carried 101.8 million lbs., down 3%; ABX Air, Inc. carried 34 million lbs., down 5.5%; and United Parcel Service carried 31.1 million lbs., down 5%.

Air Services transferred 6.6 million lbs of mail, up 49%; and 20.7 million lbs. of belly freight, down 11%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 71,434 for January – December YTD, down 4.5%.
Combined operations (including Commercial and military) totaled 208,563, down 3%.
